Position Summary:
As a Loan Servicing Clerk, you play a critical role in supporting First Famers Bank & Trust’s mission of delivering exceptional financial services and fostering strong community relationships. This position assists department personnel in completing daily loan servicing duties including processing, updating, filing and maintenance of any incoming documentation pertaining to all bank loans. Provide customer assistance to both customers and FFBT staff. This role ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Duties
- Implement and process loan account maintenance.
- Maintain accurate loan documentation and new note tracking logs
- Distribute interoffice mail
- Process Credit Life and Disability insurance transactions and ensure proper loan system updates
- Review and ensure accuracy of loan data within the core system
- Process loan payoffs, paydowns, and rate changes
- Support internal and external audits by gathering loan documentation
- Ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements
- Communicate with internal departments regarding loan servicing needs
- Review reports for exceptions
- All other job duties as assigned
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of one year of banking or customer service experience
- Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with loan documentation
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field
Skills
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent communication and phone skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Basic computer proficiency
Work Environment
- Primarily office or branch-based environment with standard business hours. Occasional travel to other branch locations or community events may be required
- Daily extended use of banking software, secure digital platforms, and standard office equipment
- Repetitive hand and arm movements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds as needed
- Moderate business traveling
