Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor for Golden State Foods in Opelika, Alabama.
ABOUT THE COMPANY
Golden State Foods is a food manufacturing company with more than 70 years of experience producing beef patties and protein products for major quick service restaurant brands. The Opelika facility is USDA-inspected and produces billions of hamburger patties annually while maintaining strict food safety and quality standards.
POSITION OVERVIEW
• Lead day-to-day maintenance operations within a food manufacturing facility
• Supervise maintenance technicians and ensure timely completion of work orders and production support activities
• Manage preventive maintenance programs, spare parts inventory, and equipment reliability initiatives
• Support production goals through downtime reduction and continuous improvement efforts
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, USDA, and company standards
• Monitor maintenance KPIs, project completion, and cost containment initiatives
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supervise and develop a maintenance team of 10-20 employees
• Assign and monitor preventive maintenance activities
• Coordinate maintenance projects focused on productivity and reliability improvements
• Partner with production teams to resolve operational issues and improve processes
• Serve as the primary escalation point for maintenance-related concerns
COMPENSATION
• Salary Range: $63,000 - $95,000

Requirements
• 3-6 years of maintenance experience REQUIRED
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience REQUIRED
• Experience supervising daily maintenance activities REQUIRED
• Experience scheduling and monitoring preventive maintenance programs REQUIRED
• Experience leading and mentoring maintenance personnel REQUIRED
Education:
• Up to 18 months of post-high school education in Engineering, Electronics, or related technical field from an accredited vocational, technical, or junior college
Preferred:
• Blueprint and technical drawing interpretation
• Equipment troubleshooting and anomaly identification
• Manufacturing maintenance experience
• OSHA and USDA knowledge
