We're seeking a Clinical Informatics Specialist to serve as a resource to our clinical and operational teams. This role focuses on helping team members effectively utilize our electronic medical record and related systems through education, workflow support, problem-solving, and process improvement. The ideal candidate enjoys working alongside others, building relationships, and helping teams navigate challenges and opportunities.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a subject matter expert for the Suncoast electronic medical record and related systems.
- Collaborate with team members and leaders to assess workflows, identify challenges, and improve the use of the EMR and related systems.
- Provide education, coaching, training, and ongoing support to team members.
- Troubleshoot workflow and system issues and help identify practical solutions.
- Assist with EMR enhancements, upgrades, testing, and implementation projects.
- Conduct audits and reviews to support documentation quality, consistency, and compliance.
- Monitor documentation practices and identify opportunities for improvement.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Information Technology, Health Informatics, Computer Science, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a clinical, healthcare technology, informatics, or related healthcare environment required.
- One to two (1–2) years of direct informatics experience preferred.
- Experience with electronic medical records required.
- Suncoast EMR experience strongly preferred.
- Hospice, palliative care, home health, or post-acute care experience preferred.
