About the Role
Picarro is looking for a UX Designer to join our growing product and engineering team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will help design intuitive and efficient user experiences for web-based applications used by scientists, engineers, and enterprise customers.
You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and senior designers to translate product requirements into clear user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes using Figma.
This is an excellent opportunity for early-career designers who want to build strong UX fundamentals while working on real-world scientific and data-driven products.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing user interfaces and user experiences for web applications and internal tools.
- Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes using Figma.
- Work with product managers and engineers to understand user needs and translate them into design solutions.
- Participate in user research, usability testing, and feedback sessions.
- Contribute to the evolution of the design system and UI components.
- Ensure designs are consistent, usable, and aligned with product requirements.
- Support implementation by collaborating with frontend developers during development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Interaction Design, HCI, Graphic Design, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in UX/UI design (internships or academic projects acceptable).
- Strong working knowledge of Figma for wireframing and prototyping.
- Basic understanding of user-centered design principles and usability best practices.
- Ability to communicate design ideas clearly through sketches, wireframes, and presentations.
- A portfolio demonstrating UX thinking and design process.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with design systems and component-based design.
- Exposure to HTML, CSS, or frontend development concepts.
- Experience working on data visualization, dashboards, or enterprise tools.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.
