Job Title: Account Officer

 

Job Summary:

  • Solicits and accredits corporate clients for home/auto retail/fleet financing and establishes endbuyers/corporate tie-ups to make auto loans available at preferential arrangements. Responsible for packaging auto loan facility for corporate borrowers.

 

Specific Competencies:

•    Solicits/generates auto credit applications from dealers, walk-in clients and branches. Sources out new prospects or referrals for possible tie-up arrangements.

    •    Coordinates with branches & various departments of the bank to source out/ solicit quality accounts and referrals in the generation of target volume so as to achieve the committed budget for the Department.

    •    Plans strategies to enhance the loan program.  Recommends systems and procedures to improve process or workflow of the Division. 

    •    Represents the Bank through client calls and site visits to offer/update prospective corporate and developer clients to be able to offer tie-up arrangement that will suit their needs.  Conducts consultation and responds to queries/complaints regarding the loan program.  Recommends and resolves effective solutions to these complaints. 

    •    Prepares Call Reports/ Interoffice Letters/ Approval Memoranda/ Offering Ticket/ ERCA containing formal recommendation or presentation of package to the Credit Committee. Gathers all necessary materials and information to be used for the approval such as FS, ITR, company and individual profile. Handles total and complete loan packaging of possible tie-ups/end buyer financing based on the Bank’s existing policies & procedures.

    •    Monitors credit accommodations and maintains quality loan portfolio by reducing unprofitable and past due accounts. Further looks into the regularization of non-compliance of loan conditions of existing accounts.

    •    Identifies and evaluates the risks involved in every proposed tie-up arrangement and ensures that these are properly mitigated or justified.

    •    Designs and negotiates loan package with clients and management as well and is in close coordination with various departments of the Bank in the process of account management.

    •    Facilitates tri-media/roadshow presentation of the loan program to prospective clients.

    •    Pre-screens and processes MetroHome/Metrocar applications referred by Branches, walk-in, solicited, end buyers and repeat clients based on approved terms & conditions of the arranged tie-up.

    •    Supervises/Oversees Consumer Marketing Assistants on a daily basis.

    •    Sources out information on market trends, rate competition and the like.

    •    Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time to time.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any course

  • 2–3 years of experience as an Relationship Manager, specifically handling home and car loans
