About the Job
The Teaching & Learning Centre promotes teaching excellence, learner development, and scholarly practice in higher education. We support the university community through research-informed teaching, innovative learning strategies, and the integration of emerging technologies such as AI to drive impact in adult learning and faculty development.
We are seeking an academic with a scholarly and practice-based focus on educational leadership and digital transformation in teaching and learning. The successful candidate will bring expertise in designing and delivering programmes for higher education faculty and students, with an emphasis on leveraging AI, learning analytics, and other digital tools to enhance learning impact. S/he will also engage in multi-modal communications with diverse stakeholders and contribute to the university’s research strengths in adult learning through publications and securing external research funding.

What You Will Be Doing
- Design and teach courses related to education, adult learning, and the integration of AI into teaching practice.
- Advance practices that empower faculty and adult learners to achieve measurable impact in higher education and professional contexts.
- Contribute to the development of scalable faculty development programmes in blended, online, and AI-supported modalities.
- Develop and sustain a research agenda at the intersections of adult learning, digital learning such as the use of AI in teaching and learning, and educational leadership, with outputs in peer-reviewed journals and potential for external funding.
- Collaborate with faculty, support units, and external partners to integrate AI, learning analytics, and evidence-based strategies into teaching and faculty development.
Job Requirements
- A doctoral qualification in education or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering courses and faculty development initiatives that integrate AI or digital learning innovations.
- A research profile in areas relevant to adult learning, educational leadership and digital learning such as AI in education.
- Experience teaching in blended and online modes, with evidence of applying AI tools, learning analytics, or data-informed feedback to improve design and impact of teaching and learning.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
