About the Role

JBS Australia’s Southern Division, headquartered in Melbourne, has the largest multi-species processing facility in Australia, processing beef, sheep, and goats. JBS Southern processing facilities have access to all major international markets, providing our livestock suppliers with a range of markets and brand opportunities.

We are interested in speaking to applicants who have an interest or experience in a position that involves manual handling, machine operating, container loading and unloading, cold storage, and warehousing.

 

This is an entry-level position with the opportunity to upskill and increase your hourly rate.

 

As a Cold Store Labourer, you will be ready to hit the ground running with all training and ongoing training provided. Your day may consist of but is not limited to manual sorting boxes of up to 25kgs, packing pallets, and wrapping pallets whilst being safety conscious and having forklift awareness. You will have impeccable attention to detail and be reliable and punctual.

 

From optimizing production processes to ensuring quality standards are met, you'll be at the forefront of delivering a product you can genuinely be proud of with the ability to purchase selected choice cuts at discounted wholesale prices!

 

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses:

 

  • A strong drive for operational excellence
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Looking for a stable ongoing full-time opportunity
  • Have reliable transport
  • Ability to take part in physical work
  • Ability to work in a Chilled environment
  • Available for an AM shift (5 am – 1.30 pm) or, Night Shift (9 pm - 5 am) 
  • Monday to Friday, with the opportunity of overtime
  • Able to work in a Freezer environment if required
