About the Role

We are looking for a passionate senior strategic buyer with relevant experience in the communications field, who will be responsible for sourcing of strategic components, pricing, and cost reduction reporting to the supply chain manager.

DriveNets is a leader in disaggregated high-scale networking solutions for service providers and AI infrastructures. DriveNets’ Network Cloud offers a radical new way to build networks, accelerating deployment and improving the network’s economic model. Adapting the architectural model of the cloud to telco-grade networking, radically simplifying the network’s operations. providing the highest-performance Ethernet-based AI networking solution. It is deployed by Hyperscale’s, Neo Clouds and Enterprises.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supplier Management: Identify, qualify, and manage strategic suppliers for semiconductors, optics, mechanical, and electro-mechanical components.
  • Advanced Procurement: Develop sourcing strategies for critical parts such as ASICs, optical modules, PCBs, and passive components.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead complex negotiations to secure favourable pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Cost Optimization: Analyse market trends, BOM cost structures, and supplier performance to identify savings opportunities.
  • Risk Mitigation: Monitor supply chain risks and implement contingency plans for high-impact components.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, Engineering, and Operations teams to support NPI (New Product Introduction) and production readiness.



Requirements

Required Knowledge & Skills

  • Proven experience in strategic procurement within technology companies (Networking/Optics experience is a strong advantage).
  • Deep knowledge of:
  1. Semiconductors (ASICs, FPGAs, controllers).
  2. Active and Passive Components (optical transceivers, capacitors, resistors).
  3. Mechanical and Electro-Mechanical Parts (heat sinks, enclosures, connectors).
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, NPI, and DFM principles.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement tools.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).
  • Relevant technical background (electrical Eng. Component Eng. -advantage)
  • At least 10 years experience in Strategic procurement role in High tech industry (advanced technology company – advantage)
