Job Description: The incumbent will provide Psychology services to a primarily adult population. These services will be delivered through a combination of direct services, consultation, community resource development and education. The incumbent will work as part of an interdisciplinary team. The Psychologist – Masters reports directly to the Chief Psychologist/Director Forensic Services or his/her designate.

Education

  • A masters degree in psychology

Licenses

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Ability to provide public/educational presentations
  • Ability to collect, record, report comprehensive client information accurately
  • Ability to competently use computers and software applications
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to perceive and analyze problems and effect innovative solutions
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in psychological assessments of adult clients
  • A demonstrated ability to meet and work with clients
  • Ability to prioritize to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure 
  • Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to provide individual, group and crisis management counselling skills
  • Ability to administer and interpret psychological tests
  • Ability to conduct client assessments and engage in effective treatment planning
  • Ability to provide psychological consultations to the team, community, & schools
  • Ability to facilitate educational and skill development groups
  • Knowledge in clinical theory and best practice

  • Authorized Practice Endorsement (APE)
  • Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists
  • May be eligible for Recruitment and/or Retention Incentives
  • Supervised training in assessment, differential diagnosis and intervention
