Job Overview:
Ensuring that safety policies are enforced in all areas of the company, including at occupational sites during field operations, physical examinations to ensure that employees are physically capable of performing their jobs without posing danger to themselves or others. Maintain and ensure all 3rd party vetting companies requirements are in satisfactory standings.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
•Provides support for monitoring injury, illness, and incident related performance.
•Provides regulatory compliance support and report findings, concerns, and deficiencies. Responds to client/customer/member concerns regarding HSE matters.
•Monitor 3rd party vetting company compliance, customer scoring, COI entry/updates.
•Enroll employees in safety council training and or site-specific training.
•Authoring, implementing, and administering appropriate safety policies.
•Maintaining HSE policies and procedures by reviewing and making changes as necessary, in conjunction with the HSEQ Director.
•Maintaining accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions and incidents via safety software systems.
•Stay up-to date with local, state, and federal regulations.
•Act as a manufacturing safety oversight when needed.
•Review completed Job Safety Analysis for improvements.
•Participate in Safety Quality Environmental (SQE) Committee.
•Assist in completing and upload annual OSHA logs.
•Collaborate with department heads for specific tailored training.
•Implement initiatives to encourage employee engagement in safety practices.
•Customer engagement ability to discuss KPI’s.
•Prepare regular reports for HSEQ director on HSE programs.
•Continue to foster and promote a positive safety culture in the office and field divisions.
•Schedule/follow up with employee annual physical requirements.
•Other duties may be assigned.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
•High School diploma or GED required.
•Minimum three years of experience in health and safety.
•Working knowledge of Worker’s Compensation practices and requirements.
•Excellent communication skills.
•An ability to facilitate relationships at all levels of the organization.
•List of preferred skills.
•Ability to pass a drug & alcohol test and background check in compliance with our safety program.
