Are you interested in supporting families who have children under the age of 3? You can make a difference for a family using approaches that will help their family thrive. 


The Early Head Start (EHS) Home Visitor serves as the primary case manager for EHS families enrolled in the home-based option. The Home Visitor is responsible for maintaining an open, friendly, and cooperative relationship with participant families; providing support to pregnant women and their partners; and promoting positive parent-child relationships. Additionally, EHS Home Visitors assist in strengthening the families’ knowledge of health, nutrition, and child development, and support parents in problem-solving and awareness of community resources.

Requirements

Education and Experience


Minimum Requirements: 

Child Development Associates Certificate (CDA) or the ability to complete a CDA within six months of hire and one year of early childhood experience in a licensed childcare classroom setting or home visitor program with children birth to five years of age OR Associate Degree in Early Childhood or Human Services field with 15 early childhood semester credits. A Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood or Human Services is a preferred degree.

Experience:

One-year of experience with infants and toddlers is preferred.
One-year experience working with low-resourced families is preferred
Home visitation experience preferred.

Or, three or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
