About the Role

Back up: Maintenance Supervisor or Trained Designee

Scope / Job Description: Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for good food safety and quality by making sure the plant mechanical equipment is running properly to avoid downtime. To read, interpret and execute diagnosis and repair of equipment.

Responsibilities:

· Installing and set up of new production equipment.

· Servicing and maintaining equipment including motors, conveyor systems, transmission systems, and production-related equipment.

· Inspecting assessing troubleshooting the functionality of production equipment to mitigate/reduce downtime. 

· Adjusting mechanical parts using hand and machine tools.

· Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints

· Adjusting and calibrating Electrical or Electronics devices.

· Program and troubleshooting over the PLC systems and HMI on existing or new equipment.

· Lead or execute some new projects required.

· Fabricating parts for repairs and machine upgrades, following hygienic design. 

· Conducting preventive maintenance and safety checks. 

· Communicating with the production team and maintaining a clean work area.

· Preparing and submitting maintenance reports, which includes but it’s not limited to work orders and PM’s.

· Follow GMP’s, company and safety procedures, including but not limited to LOTO.

· Train machine operators. 

· Understand and execute e-maintenance system for inventory and work order control. 

· Back up of Supervisor as needed


Requirements

 

Requirements:

· Associated or Bachelor’s degree in Electric Engineering or similar field.

· Previous work experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician.

· In-depth knowledge of mechanical and Basic electrical systems maintenance.

· Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations.

· Excellent troubleshooting skills.

· Basic computer and report writing skills.

· Good communication skills.

· Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment.

· Good time-management skills.

Teamwork Aptitude:

· Willing to accept change and work in a team-based environment.

· Must be flexible with working schedule: weekends, holidays, shift change.

· Must be willing to rotate and help other areas as needed.

· Have a Positive mentality to train new team members as needed.
