Research Assistant

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree in a health-related discipline, preferably Health Psychology, Public Health, Nursing, or behavioural sciences; (ii) at least two years of relevant work experience; (iii) experience in conducting and co-ordinating research studies; (iv) familiarity with both qualitative and quantitative research methods including interviews, focus groups, surveys, and basic data analysis; (v) strong interest or experience in research involving older adults, adolescents, and/or other marginalised and disadvantaged populations in Hong Kong; (vi) the ability to work independently and with attention to detail; (vii) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; and (viii) good computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications and statistical software such as SPSS.
The appointee will be responsible for (a) providing administrative support to the research team, including preparation of ethics applications, grant submissions, budget monitoring, and journal submissions; (b) assisting in research studies, such as participant recruitment, data collection, intervention delivery, data management, and report writing; (c) performing literature searches and reviews; (d) providing secretarial and operational support to the supervisor; and (e) performing other tasks as assigned.
