Buyer III | Supply Chain | Full-time | Days

Any interviews will be at UF Flagler Hospital 400 Health Park Blvd. St. Augustine.
Processes and manages complex purchase programs that may or may not involve capital acquisitions and/or under-utilized business opportunities. This process includes product specification and selection assistance, bid and service agreement negotiation, contract review, project management and/or return of products as necessary. Meets with SJMC department personnel in support of project and programs, assists, collaborates and educate departments in best value propositions as part of on-going program and project management assignments. Ensures Purchase Orders, Contracts and Vendor documentation are in agreement and properly documented. Invoicing discrepancies are resolved and maintained at specified levels. Attends trade shows, fairs and community functions as necessary. Summarizes, updates Management on Furniture, Fixtures, Equipment, Supplies, Contracts and Business Utilization on a routine basis.
Responsibilities
- Plans, organizes and directs the acquisition of Furniture, Fixtures, Equipment and Supplies of technical and scientific nature. Meets with manufacturer and sales representative in support of projects scopes. Programs may include product specification, selection assistance, bid and service agreement negotiation and contract negotiation/review. (30%)
- Develops, implements, manages and reports on complex projects and contracting programs that involve capital acquisitions, program management and/or under-utilized business opportunities. (30%)
- Ensures Purchase Orders, Contracts and Vendor documentation are in agreement and properly documented. Invoicing discrepancies are resolved and maintained at a specified levels.(15%)
- Assists, collaborates and educates departments in best value propositions as part of on-going program and project management assignments. Meets with SJMC department personnel in support of project and programs. (15%)
- Plans, organizes and directs the acquisition of non-catalog and non-contracted technical and scientific equipment. (10%)
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or allied field. Hospital Supply Chain Services
experience may be substituted in lieu of education
Preferred
AHRMM or AHA Purchasing certification
Experience
- 1-2 years - Medical Purchasing -AND- Over 5 years - Supply Chain Services.
Preference
At least eight (8) years purchasing and project administration experience in Medical Supply Chain Services and five (5) years in Medical Purchasing is preferred.
