One to One Aide

Astor Services is hiring Preschool One to One Aides today! Enjoy working 25 hours a week from Monday through Friday with summers off. Head Start is a federally funded preschool program delivering services to 3 and 4-year old children and their families in core areas of early learning, health, and family well-being. 

The One to One Aide is responsible for delivering individual instruction, support, and behavior management of a specific student who has been identified and for 1:1 classroom assistance. Come join our team!  

Job Responsibilities:

• Must maintain qualifications in the crisis intervention procedure of the agency, including passing scores in TCI (written) and procedural (physical) examinations.
• Must be physically capable at all times of initiating or assisting in all components of the crisis intervention program of the agency.
• Confers daily with classroom teacher regarding student's daily assignments, academic progress and behavioral objectives.
• Provides academic tutorial assistance to the student as per teacher directives.
• Utilizes teacher's strategies in keeping the student on task. 
• Assists in transitioning student from one activity to another.

Requirements

You must have:

· High School Diploma or GED.

You should have:

· Experience with the population served is preferred.
