Position Summary

The Payroll Specialist \is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing for all employees at Pro Food Solutions. This role serves as the in-house subject matter expert for the Paylocity payroll platform, overseeing data accuracy, payroll reporting, and adherence to federal, state, and local regulations. The Payroll Specialist will collaborate closely with the HR and Finance teams to reconcile payroll information, manage employee records, and support ongoing process improvements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and employee service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and manage end-to-end payroll for all employees using Paylocity.
  • Audit and verify payroll data including hours, deductions, bonuses, and commissions.
  • Maintain employee payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Manage all tax filings such as W-2, W-4, and 1099 forms.
  • Partner with HR and Accounting to reconcile payroll data and resolve discrepancies.
  • Generate payroll reports for audits, compliance, and management review.
  • Manage garnishments, benefit deductions, and time-off accruals.
  • Support payroll process improvements and Paylocity system optimization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of payroll processing experience in company size with 100 plus employees and multi company setup.
  • Advanced hands-on experience with Paylocity for 2 years (required).
  • Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, tax laws, and multi-state regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general accounting concepts.
  • High accuracy, confidentiality, and strong organizational skills
