We are seeking a Senior Specialist Manufacturing Services Automation Engineer. In this role, you will be at the forefront of integrating cutting-edge IT and OT systems across global sites, ensuring seamless operations and high-impact support. Locations: Barcelona, Spain or Ljubljana, Slovenia or Hyderabad, India

About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Implement standards
  • If needed, create regional / site SOPs & templates
  • Develop Project Cost Estimation & Value Improvement Review 
  • Support Project Charter, Business Case and CAR  
  • Develop & implement Coding /(DCS / Scada / PLC's / Control Networks)
  • Design, implement & maintain Historian Configuration for modules / visualization / OPEX
  • Implement Software Change Controls associated with automation / system changes
  • Own and develop automation solutions that are consistent with specific needs of the manufacturing environment.
  • Take an active role in preparing adequate and cost effective solutions for all automation investment related projects. Leverage best practices and expertise across the Engineering network.
  • Support local project execution and related ITOT activities (User Requirements, CSV...)

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree in engineering, IT (Dipl. Ing. / M. Sc. / B. Sc.) or equivalent
  • Fluent in English and proficient in local language.
  • Strong knowledge of SCADA, Historian, and Manufacturing Execution Systems
  • Experience working in regulated environments, preferably with GxP standards
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office

Desirable Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in automation in chemical or pharmaceutical industry. 
  • Experience supporting 24/7 operations and managing site-specific systems
  • Familiarity with digital technologies and big data applications in manufacturing
