EGA Spectro Alloys operates one of the highest efficiency aluminum recycling plants in the United States. Since 1973, we have been providing foundries and die casters in the Midwest and beyond with recycled aluminum alloys.
We offer a full range of AA specification die cast and foundry alloys, as well as lower cost alternatives like Custom Clean Charge, NASAAC and RSI. We service customers regionally and internationally, from one stack at a time to dozens of loads per week.

About the Role
Description
The Shipping Associate supports daily operations by preparing, loading, and shipping finished goods safely and accurately. This role works closely with the operations team to ensure shipments meet company and customer requirements.
This is a hands-on role for someone who values teamwork, consistency, and doing the job right.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm
- Schedule may transition in the future to a 3-2-2-3 rotating schedule
What You Will Do
- Package and ship finished goods according to company and customer specifications
- Pick, stage, and load outbound materials
- Ensure trailers are secure and meet safety standards before loading
- Inspect dock and rolling equipment for proper operation
- Maintain accurate records related to shipments and equipment conditions
- Work with team members to identify and support process improvements
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including PPE use
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Report safety concerns, equipment issues, or incidents promptly

Requirements
What We Are Looking For
- You are at least 18 years old and bring prior work experience to the role
- You are dependable and take pride in showing up ready to work
- You are willing to become certified in forklift and crane operation and follow safe equipment practices
- You are comfortable using computers for basic job-related tasks
- You can work in a hands-on environment, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in both heat and cold
- Forklift experience is a plus, but not required
