Bartender

The Bartender provides beverage service in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner to ensure guest satisfaction.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverages to guests promptly and accurately
• Replenish beverages as requested and check on guests to ensure satisfaction
• Act as cashier for the beverage outlet and maintain balanced cash handling
• Input orders into the POS system and create checks for each guest or party
• Maintain proper bar setup and ensure cleanliness of guest areas at all times
• Comply with all federal, state, and local laws pertaining to alcohol service and safety

Requirements

 Education & Experience

• 1 year of bartending experience required

Language Skills

• Must be able to communicate effectively in verbal and written English

Math Skills

• High school-level math skills (addition and subtraction)

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to work effectively with employees, management, guests, and vendors 
• Ability to organize and prioritize work, meet deadlines, and perform duties with minimal supervision
• Ability to operate bar equipment including cash register, soda gun, liquor gun, blender, knife, corkscrew, telephone, and ice scoop
• Ability to remember, recite, and promote menu items and casino services
• Ability to memorize all available drinks and their preparation methods

Certificates & Licenses

• Nevada Gaming Registration
• TAM Card
• Southern Nevada Health Card

Physical Requirements

• Ability to bend, lift, or carry items weighing up to 50 lbs on a continuous basis
• Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods
• Ability to work in confined spaces and awkward positions, requiring standing, crouching, kneeling, stooping, and reaching overhead for extended periods
• Manual dexterity to use corkscrew, knives, and ice scoop
• Ability to walk up to half a mile per shift and perform duties in confined spaces
