General Position Summary
This is an exempt, on-site position responsible for generating new business, expanding existing accounts, and delivering customized logistics solutions to clients. This role combines relationship-building, strategic prospecting, and consultative selling to identify customer needs and provide value-driven service offerings. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with a solid understanding of logistics and import/export services. This position will report to the Operations Manager.
Sales:
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients requiring shipping, logistics, and import/export services, to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
· Identify new business opportunities through networking, referrals, industry events, and other channels.
· Conduct effective sales presentations and service demonstrations that clearly communicate value and competitive advantage.
· Prepare and provide accurate quotations to clients, including annual bid lanes and contract pricing.
· Negotiate rates, terms, and contracts to maximize profitability while meeting customer needs and services expectations.
· Coordinate closely with operations, logistics, and carrier/warehouse teams to ensure timely, accurate service execution.
· Maintain detailed and accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and strategic plans to track performance against sales targets; present this information to management.
· Monitor industry trends, regulations, market conditions, and competitor activity to provide insight to clients and support strategic planning.
· Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining ongoing communication.
· May attend outside meetings such as customer visits, company group meetings, seminars, conventions, and conferences for both information sharing and learning purposes.
Miscellaneous:
· Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
· Follows up to complete any assigned work.
· Maintains high ethical standards in the workplace.
· Reports all irregular issues and problems to Division Manager for solution.
· Maintains good communication with Vice Presidents, Supervisors, staff members and outside contacts.
· Complies with all company policies and procedures.
· Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area.

Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or University or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Three to five years of related work experience, along with experience in logistics or international trade.
· Proficiency in a foreign language is preferred.
· A strong candidate for this position would demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, customer service, excellent negotiation and communication skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
· An ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of global trade laws and regulations, experience with import/export software and tools, and a familiarity with international shipping methods and logistics.
