About the Role

Clatsop Care Retirement Village in Astoria, OR is actively seeking a reliable full-time and part-time, all shifts, Non-Certified Medication Tech positions available to provide essential medications to our senior residents and other patients. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A Medication Tech

As an assisted living medication Tech, you provide each of your assigned senior or convalescing residents with excellent routine patient-centered care according to their care plan. You prepare and administer medications according to health care provider instructions and within the scope of your duties. You ensure that residents' environments are comfortable and safe. You are vigilant about reporting any changes in the condition of residents to the supervising nurse and you keep accurate and up-to-date records.

You are patient and calm, treating those you care for just the way you would want your own family members treated. You are careful about infection control in our assisted living community. You go home feeling good about the positive impact you have made in the lives of our senior and convalescing residents!

Requirements

MEDICATION TECH QUALIFICATIONS

  • Exceptional people skills

Previous experience in a long-term care setting would be ideal but we will train. Can you make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism? Do you have respect for and patience with ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset people? Can you deal tactfully with personnel, clients, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public? Can you show empathy while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries? If so, then you might be perfect to work with our seniors and other patients as a Medication Aide!
MEDICATION TECH WORK SCHEDULE

These long-term care position have the opportunity to work stable day-shift, and swing shifts available. Full-time and part-time schedules available.
