The Material Handler / Logistics Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of Walpole’s Foxboro branch. This position is responsible for the safe storage, handling, and organization of inventory, as well as providing administrative and logistical support to the Customer Experience Manager (CEM). The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, professional, and customer-focused.

Requirements

Warehouse & Yard Operations

• Operate forklifts (training provided) to load and unload trailers and trucks
• Organize and maintain the display yard, including proper disposal of debris
• Ensure products are stored safely and protected from weather
• Coordinate dumpster removal as needed

Inventory Management

• Receive and process incoming products in both physical inventory and Walpole’s ERP      system (Sage)
• Conduct weekly cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory records
• Process material transfers and requisition necessary supplies (e.g., hardware,      concrete)

Order Fulfillment & Customer Coordination

• Assist with scheduling and fulfilling Selections (small product) orders
• Contact customers to coordinate warehouse pickups, deliveries, and installations
• Schedule product deliveries to local showrooms
• Use Salesforce to manage scheduling and close out completed orders
• Pick and stage Selections orders for dispatch

Administrative Support

• Assist with reviewing and auditing employee timecards, as requested by the CEM
• Provide general administrative support to ensure smooth branch operations 

Skills and Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and operate small and large forklifts (training provided)
• Basic data entry skills (training provided)
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
