About the Role

Description

Position Overview:

Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse for a Medical-Surgical / Progressive Care (MS/PCU) assignment on the Ortho Neuro Spine unit at the Ohio State Brain and Spine Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. This role supports post-operative orthopedic and neuro spine patients in a mixed-acuity setting.


Schedule:

• Night shift

• 3x12-hour shifts

• Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

• Weekend coverage every other weekend

• Rotating holidays

• Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity across the OSU organization


Compensation:

• Gross: $2,359 per week

• W2: $24.50 per hour

• Tax-Free Stipend: $1,477 per week

• Locals accepted at the same rate


Contract Details:

• Start Date: February 23, 2026

• Duration: 13 weeks

• Number of Openings: 1

• Orientation: 24 hours

• First-time travelers accepted


Unit Overview:

• MS / PCU Ortho Neuro Spine Unit

• Estimated patient ratios: 1:3–1:4

• Adult and adolescent patient population

• Scrub Color: Navy Blue


Clinical Focus:

• Orthopedic total hip and knee replacements

• Ortho spine and neuro spine surgery patients

• Telemetry monitoring

• Post-operative care and mobility support

Requirements

• Must have 2 years of RN experience required

• MS/PCU experience required

• Telemetry experience required

• BLS required

• ACLS preferred

• Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity within OSU

• First-time travelers accepted

• Valid compact or Ohio RN license required at time of submission

• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
