About the Role

We’re looking for a Fire System Tester to join our team in Whangarei!


In this role, you’ll be responsible for testing and surveying fire systems, emergency lighting, and completing Building Warrant of Fitness inspections in accordance with current New Zealand Standards — all while maintaining strong relationships with our valued customers.

What You Will Do

  • Carry out testing, surveying, and inspections to NZ Standards

  • Utilise company resources effectively to exceed customer expectations

  • Maintain high levels of service and professionalism

  • Ensure all company property, tools, and equipment are well maintained and operating safely

  • Keep fire sprinkler valve rooms and fire system control panel areas tidy and organised

  • Accurately complete timekeeping and timesheets

  • Always follow EH&S safety practices

  • Report any workplace safety hazards to your supervisor or manager

  • Participate in both internal and external training to stay current with industry developments

  • Show enthusiasm for the products and services we use and provide

  • Bring a positive attitude, loyalty, and commitment to the company’s objectives

What We’re Looking For

  • Motivation for hands‑on, physical work

  • Ability to read and work from drawings (advantageous)

  • NZ Residency/Citizenship or a valid work visa

  • Proficient computer skills

  • Full NZ driver licence

  • Strong communication skills and a can‑do attitude
