Overview:
The Shipping & Receiving / Shipping Specialist supports manufacturing operations by safely moving materials, maintaining accurate inventory, preparing shipments, and completing required documentation while following ISO standards and company procedures.
Schedule:
• Monday–Friday
• 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $19.00/hour
Dress Code:
• Jeans, t-shirt, work pants
• Steel-toed boots
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Safely operate material handling equipment, including sit-down propane forklifts, stand-up high-reach electric forklifts, overhead cranes, and other equipment
• Move, pick, place, load, and unload materials throughout the plant
• Place pallet loads of metal fasteners weighing over 2,500 lbs. into rack locations exceeding 21 feet
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of material handling equipment and request maintenance as needed
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and locations at all times
• Properly use counting scales for shipping and receiving transactions
• Verify part numbers and descriptions to ensure correct items are pulled and shipped
• Safely load and unload trucks while accounting for all merchandise received or shipped
• Prepare parts for shipment to customers, vendors, and stock while maintaining ISO procedures (tagging, banding, boxing, assembly, cleaning)
• Complete shop forms, data collection sheets, job tracking cards, work orders, bills of lading, and packing slips
• Monitor boxes, pallets, and shipping supplies to maintain readiness
• Keep warehouse and work areas clean and organized
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills & Abilities:
• Ability to work as part of a team and meet deadlines
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Strong attention to detail with minimal errors
• Basic computer skills
• Accountability for all required documentation
Education Required: High School
Language Requirement: Must be able to communicate in English
Valid Driver’s License: Yes
Requirements
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs.
• Ability to maneuver and access all facility areas
Mental Requirements:
• Ability to make sound judgments in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to interpret orders, forms, prints, and documents accurately
• Ability to take appropriate action with speed and accuracy
