About the Role

Description

The Project Accountant will work closely with Project Managers to prepare monthly draw packages to be presented to clients in a timely, accurate manner.


Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize and prepare monthly draw packages for assigned clients / projects; including reconciliation of job cost, budget-to-draw updates, change orders and restricted cash accounts.
  • Work with the Project Managers and project teams to ensure alignment on draws, budgets, change orders and all other project related issues.
  • Understand the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service to both our internal and external customers, including clients, employees, vendors and trade partners.
  • Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Review, understand and post all revenue vs COGS entries.
  • Review and understand all profitability and job costing reports.
  • Job Cost reconciliation and accruals.



Requirements

Essential Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in construction, development or real estate improvement finance or accounting or related field.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Sage 300 CRE.

• Experience with Sage 300CRE Paperless, Procore, HomeFront, and BuildPro preferred.

• Strong time management and organizational skills, basic knowledge of accounting principles, high degree of attention to detail, and ability to work independently desired.
