The Volunteer Engagement Specialist is responsible for the management and analysis of Volunteer data, manages inventory of donated items for tracking of our Gifts-in-Kind program and facilitates pick up and deliveries of Gifts-in-Kind donations. The Volunteer Engagement Specialist is an integral part of the Volunteer Engagement Team and will be asked to take on specific volunteer event related tasks as needed. Please note average schedule is in-person 8am-5pm M-F and may include extended hours and weekends depending on event schedule.
The Volunteer Engagement Specialist will be responsible for the following duties:
- Volunteerism Data Analysis and Management
- Ensure accuracy of individual volunteer data within the volunteer portal
- Manage Volunteer Portal data
- Manage opportunity uploads and content on Volunteer Portal and 3rd party corporate volunteer sites
- Build relationships with nonprofit and school partners around Volunteer Portal utilization
- Volunteer Engagement Support
- Support Volunteer Engagement Director with corporate engagement opportunities Support Community Development and Engagement team on volunteer programs and Events
- Support Volunteer Engagement Director in execution of Gifts-In-Kind program
- Assist Volunteer Engagement Team with campaign and/or volunteer event preparation
- Assist at volunteer and organizational events, as needed and approved by Volunteer Engagement Director
- Follow through with consistent courtesy to all internal and external customers
- Volunteer communication support
- Facilitate and present at engagement events in both community and corporate settings for various group sizes
- Engagement Inventory Management
- Process engagement supply orders as needed
- Assist in scheduling deliveries as needed by Volunteer Engagement Director
- Support Volunteer Engagement Director with data input and scheduling of Gifts-in-Kind inventory
- Support Volunteer Engagement team in making deliveries to nonprofit and school partners and picking up GIK donations from corporate partners; utilizing company vehicle
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to safely operate a pallet jack and cargo van
- Must have dependable transportation and a valid drivers license.
- Must be able to pass internal car insurance requirements for company vehicle usage.
