USED CAR BUYER

Description

The Used Car Buyer / KBB Buyer is responsible for sourcing, appraising, and acquiring used vehicles through multiple channels, including customer trade-ins, direct purchases, and off-lease opportunities. 

Responsibilities

• Appraise and purchase used vehicles.
• Manage and convert KBB leads; conduct vehicle inspections and finalize offers
• Determine competitive market pricing and reconditioning needs
• Maintain used-vehicle inventory levels and profitability
• Complete required purchase documentation and ensure compliance
• Collaborate with Sales, Service, and Management to support dealership goals

Requirements

• Prior experience as a Used Car Buyer, KBB Buyer or similar automotive role.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle appraisal, market pricing, and reconditioning costs.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
