About the Role

We’re seeking someone to join the AIS Processing Team, Director, Product Support & Services to play a key role in helping transform how Morgan Stanley Operates.

In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is a Team Manager position at Director level within the Product Support & Services, which is responsible for providing transaction support and managing post execution processes.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Develop staff, lead projects and control deployment of resources, owning management tools/methods such as work queues, checklists, depth charts and calendars
  • Set direction and expectations for your team(s), defining training plans and transfer of expert knowledge to contribute to team output and development
  • Contribute to business plan for area, establish risk/contingency plans, raise and address issues with urgency when required
  • Build and manage relationships with business unit partners, other Morgan Stanley infrastructure departments, and external contact points in Client or Market organizations.
  • Management of the AIS Mumbai Processing team
  • Maintain supervisory oversight on team activities.
  • Planning and implementation of team goals in line with firm goals
  • Coordinate for year-end audits and participate in various Risk initiatives.
  • Provide adequate and equal opportunities to team members to grow in enhance their scope.
  • Relationship management with stakeholders, vendors, business teams.
  • Liaising with various fund houses, Banks, administrators for data and resolution of issues.
  • Ensuring timely booking of cash transactions and valuations.
  • Monitoring various mailboxes for notifications of documents.
  • Reconciling transactions, valuations, management fees, carried interest calculations, P&L components, and other activity between the accounting system and third-party service provider records on a monthly/quarterly basis to ensure accuracy.
  • Review, research, resolution, escalation of exceptions and variances
  • Understanding of and ability to work on complex structures that contain multiple vehicles such as leveraged corporate blockers and AIV’s.
  • Review of NAV packs and Closing packages.
  • Maintain oversight and perform the Call Back verification with GPs for investments.
  • Partnering with India and US teams.
  • Maintenance of integrity and confidentiality of the firm
  • Involvement in projects related to the job function and liaising with IT on automation projects.
  • Creating or enhancing processes to improve the efficiency of the AIS Team
