Hiring Range: $24.00 - $34.84 per hour

We seek a dynamic, culturally respectful, and dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team in delivering exceptional care to our patients.
What You’ll Do:
As a Medical Assistant at Salish Cancer Center, you will support both clinical and front-office operations, helping ensure smooth clinic flow and a positive patient experience.
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments with professionalism, compassion, and respect.
- Obtain and document patient allergies, vital signs, height, and weight accurately in the EHR.
- Support physicians and nursing staff with daily clinical operations.
- Adhere to infection prevention and control standards, including hand hygiene and proper use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment, including sanitizing exam rooms and equipment.
- Monitor and report issues with clinic equipment (e.g., IV pumps, wheelchairs, BP machines).
- Stock exam and treatment rooms; clean and maintain infusion equipment daily.
- Assist with patient flow, escorting patients as needed throughout the clinic.
- Prepare patient charts by requesting, scanning, and updating medical records and demographic information.
- Support referral and prior authorization processes and ensure documentation is complete.
- Cross-train and assist with front office duties such as scheduling, insurance verification, intake, copay collection, and phone coverage.
- Triage incoming phone calls and route patient concerns appropriately.
What You Bring:
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Current WA State Medical Assistant Certification (MA-C)
- At least (3) years of Medical Assistant experience
- Experience in an oncology or cancer care setting preferred
- Experience with prior authorizations and familiarity with WA State insurance carriers preferred
