Website Content Operations Specialist

About the role
The Website Content Operations Specialist helps manage and enhance the Department’s planning related websites through effective content management system (CMS) administration, human-centred design, and inclusive digital communication. The role oversees daily CMS operations to ensure content is well-structured, current, and compliant with Victorian Government digital and accessibility standards, as well as the Department’s style guide. It works closely with the team, communications and content experts to set up, design and configure pages using the vic.gov.au Ripple design system, and supports a broad network of content experts—providing training and guidance to help them create discoverable, accessible, and fit-for-purpose digital content.
Position accountabilities
- Works flexibly and collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team.
- Practices cultural safety by creating environments, relationships and systems free from racism and discrimination so that people can feel safe, valued and able to participation.
- Prepares training materials and quick reference guides to support content experts.
- Delivers training and coaching to content experts on how to use the CMS and ensure content is aligned to standards and best practice.
- Facilitates and coordinates meetings, workshops and communities of practice with stakeholders.

- Partnering and co-creation (foundational) - Understands the importance of partnering with the customer or community in developing successful strategies, programs or products; Supports the design process by explaining what needs to be done and ensuring people have the necessary information to engage in the process and work effectively; Understands stages of co-design
- Working collaboratively (applied) Build a supportive and cooperative team environment; Engages other teams to share information in order to understand or respond to issues; Support others in challenging situations

Pre-employment checks and employment conditions
All new appointments to the department will be subject to a National Criminal Records Check, Misconduct Screening, and a Qualification Check where there is a requirement for a mandatory qualification.
