We’re looking for an experienced Risk & Quality Manager to join our Advisory team in Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland, supporting Consulting, Deals and Risk Services. 

This role focuses on helping the business apply PwC’s Risk & Quality frameworks in a practical and proportionate way, supporting good decision-making, quality delivery and a strong culture of care and integrity. 

You’ll work closely with Partners and staff to provide guidance on risk management, independence and compliance, assess new business opportunities, and support complex engagements across Advisory. 

You’ll collaborate with local and global R&Q teams, contribute to firm-wide initiatives, and stay connected to emerging services such as AI and large-scale transformation programmes. This is a collaborative, people-focused role offering meaningful exposure, variety, and the opportunity to make a real impact across the firm. 

Please note that this role requires the right to work in New Zealand. 

In this role, you will: 

  • Help Partners and teams make confident, well-informed decisions by providing clear and practical Risk & Quality guidance across Consulting, Deals and Risk Services 

  • Enable the firm to pursue the right work in the right way by supporting the assessment of new engagements, independence considerations and appropriate safeguards 

  • Strengthen quality delivery across Advisory by supporting PwC’s Quality Management System and Global Quality Engagement Programme 

  • Build understanding and consistency in Risk & Quality through high-quality reporting, training and communications 

  • Contribute to the firm’s future-focused services by working alongside local and Global R&Q teams and staying connected to emerging areas such as AI and large-scale transformation programmes

This role will suit someone who enjoys working collaboratively, thinking carefully about risk, and supporting others to do their best work. 

  • 6+ years' experience in Risk & Quality related role, ideally within a professional services or advisory environment 

  • The ability to apply risk and quality frameworks in a practical, balanced way that supports both quality outcomes and commercial decision-making 

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing reports, guidance or training for a range of audiences 

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work through issues thoughtfully and reach well-reasoned outcomes 

  • A collaborative, relationship-focused approach, with confidence working alongside Partners and teams and a willingness to keep learning
