Sutter Coast Hospital seeks to hire a BE/BC General Orthopedic Surgeon to join our team in the community of Crescent City, CA.

 

We seek a General Orthopedic Surgeon to join our Level IV trauma hospital and provide essential care to our community. This position offers a flexible 2-week on/2-week off schedule along with a base salary and eligibility to performance bonus. Knowledge in all Major Joints is required as the community has a broad range of joint-related cases.

Organization Details

Sutter Coast Hospital is a community-based, not-for-profit hospital located in Crescent City, Del Norte County, California. It also extends its services to parts of Curry County, Oregon. As part of the Sutter Health network, this 49-bed acute care hospital offers a range of essential healthcare services. A local volunteer board of community leaders and healthcare professionals ensures that the hospital's decisions align with the needs of the community. Sutter Coast provides emergency care with a 24/7 department, general surgery procedures, a birthing center, an intensive care unit (ICU), inpatient care, outpatient clinics, diagnostic imaging, and rehabilitation services. The hospital prioritizes community health through outreach programs, education, and initiatives tailored to the area's needs.

Where the Redwoods meet the Sea, Crescent City in beautiful Del Norte County, is only 20 miles south of Oregon. Sea-faring Crescent City is home to the northernmost of California’s lighthouse stations. A few miles away is Crescent City’s other lighthouse at St. George Reef, 6 miles/9.6 kilometers offshore. See the lighthouse from the public walking trails along the bluffs at Point St. George. Enjoy wandering the Crescent City waterfront. Additional attractions include Ocean World aquarium and the North coast Marine Mammal Center. On the town’s west end is oceanfront Pebble Beach Drive with easy access to Pebble Beach, a great place to search for agates and other semi-precious gemstones.
