About The Role
The Director of Strategic Operations and Analytics is responsible for delivering accurate, actionable, comprehensive reporting and analytics to guide executive decision making across all Roundhouse business lines. This role drives innovation in reporting infrastructure, ensures operational excellence and provides strategic oversight of critical functions including financial operations reporting, enterprise technology and strategic operations. This role partners closely with senior leadership, including the CEO, COO, CFO, Investments and Development teams, to provide data driven insights that protect and enhance asset value.
This position will oversee an Operational Analyst, Enterprise Technology Manager, Strategic Operations Manager and liaison with the Accounting Manager. This position reports directly to the President of Communities. It is based in Boise, Idaho, and requires travel to monitor the performance of the company’s out of state assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting systems to deliver timely, accurate portfolio performance metrics to leadership.
- Maintain accountability for the performance of each individual asset and update the team as needed on the performance of investments and other key issues.
- Compile and report portfolio statistics to the executive team on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Create and manage bespoke reporting requests for executive leadership and key stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for value creation and proactively respond to changes in property and/or market conditions to protect asset value.
- Implement property-level and fund-level monitoring and reporting processes and procedures to monitor risk, maintain asset quality and clearly communicate progress with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Partner closely with and providing oversight to the Directors of Operations to ensure operational excellence.
- Oversee timely execution of capital projects.
- Provide strategic oversight of Enterprise Technology and Strategic Operations ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and effective execution by department managers.
- Lead and mentor functional team to foster innovation, compliance, and operational excellence.
- Partner closely with the Accounting to develop optimized processes and ensure accurate financial data and reporting alignment across the organization.
- Establish priorities, monitor performance, and ensure accountability for outcomes across these areas.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor assets and team performance.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, in compliance with applicable laws and consistent with the essential functions of the role.
Requirements
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, economics, or a related field is preferred.
- 5 or more years of experience in Multifamily Asset Management, Multifamily Real Estate Analytics, Multifamily Operations Leadership.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Experience with Yardi and Power BI; familiarity with real estate databases (CoStar, RealPage) preferred.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence executive decision making.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to innovate and think creatively.
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Travel up to 20% of the time.
