Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial, or related Engineering field
- Interest in automation, robotics, or manufacturing systems
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering drawings
- Exposure to PLC concepts, sensors, or automation through coursework, labs, or projects is a plus
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis tools
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn in a hands-on production environment
ABOUT THE JOB!
The Manufacturing Engineering Intern supports manufacturing operations by assisting with basic automation, equipment support, and process improvement initiatives. This role is designed for students or recent graduates seeking hands-on experience with automated and semi-automated manufacturing systems in a fast-paced production environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist manufacturing engineers with support and improvement of automated and semi-automated production equipment
- Help collect and analyze production and equipment data (cycle time, downtime, scrap, rework)
- Support basic troubleshooting of equipment issues under supervision (sensors, actuators, fixtures)
- Assist with updating work instructions, SOPs, and process documentation
- Support preventive maintenance activities and simple equipment validation tasks
- Participate in continuous improvement, Lean, and 5S projects
- Assist with quality investigations and corrective actions related to equipment or process issues
- Support safety initiatives and machine guarding compliance
- Spend 60–80% of time on the manufacturing floor supporting production and automation activities
- Work closely with operators, technicians, maintenance, and engineers to support daily operations
- Observe, document, and help improve manufacturing and automated processes in real time
- Participate in hands-on activities such as time studies, equipment observations, simple troubleshooting, and data collection
- Communicate clearly and professionally with shop floor personnel and leadership
