Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and passionate Assistant Food & Beverage Duty Manager to join The Ternary leadership team. Working closely with the Food & Beverage Duty Manager's and wider leadership team, you will support the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and bar, help lead high-performing front-of-house teams, and play a key role in delivering service excellence and memorable guest experiences. This is a wonderful stepping stone for a future Food & Beverage Duty Manager:
Key Responsibilities:
- Work alongside and under the Food & Beverage Duty Managers to support the leadership of front-of-house food & beverage operations, ensuring warm, professional, and consistent service deliver.
- Assist with supervising restaurant and bar teams, including daily planning, rostering support, and shift coordination
- Act as a key point of contact for guest enquiries and assist in resolving issues to ensure positive outcomes
- Maintain clear communication through service logs and strong cross-department collaboration
- Support performance against budgets, service standards, and guest satisfaction targets
- Assist with team training, inductions, and ongoing compliance with food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards
Qualifications
- A strong passion for developing people and supporting the next generation of hospitality leaders
- Previous experience supervising or leading teams within a hospitality or food & beverage environment
- Ability to support and guide team members to meet operational and service expectations
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent personal presentation and organisational skills
- Full working rights in Australia
