About The Company
Hi, we're Ace & Tate and we make glasses.
It sounds fairly simple, and that’s the whole point. From well-designed eyewear to personalised, expert eye care, we’re here to inject a good dose of common sense into our industry. Great styles that last, at a fair price.
With 700 eyewear experts across 85+ stores in 9 countries, we make sure our customers always enjoy the view.
About the Role
Company Description
We’re Ace & Tate – and yes, we make glasses. But more than that, we make working here worth your while.
We’re looking for a Junior Financial Accountant at our Headquarters in Amsterdam, for 32–40 hours per week.
What our Jr. Financial Accountants do:
- Take full ownership by managing the end-to-end financial administration for specific entities – from invoice processing to reporting.
- Keep our numbers clean and reliable by preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and supporting month-end close activities.
- Support performance insights by reviewing P&Ls and contributing to accurate, timely reporting for our 80+ stores across 9 countries.
- Be a trusted finance partner by acting as the go-to person for finance-related questions from stores and HQ teams.
- Build strong relationships by coordinating with vendors, reconciling statements, and resolving invoice queries.
- Keep cash flowing smoothly by assisting with payment runs, processing employee declarations, and reconciling bank transactions.
- Improve how we work by helping optimise financial processes and reporting in a fast-growing, changing environment.
- Support key moments by contributing to ad hoc business cases and assisting during the annual audit.
You have...
- A solid foundation in accounting or finance (BSc or MSc level).
- 1–3 years of relevant work experience in a finance or accounting role.
- Strong analytical skills and confidence working with Excel formulas.
- A solution-oriented mindset and the ability to adapt quickly when things change.
- Comfort taking ownership and improvising when needed.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
- Experience with fixed assets accounting and/or Odoo ERP is a strong plus.
What we offer...
- A competitive salary, if needed we can offer visa sponsorship.
- A flexible hybrid work environment.
- 25 holidays per year (based on full time) plus additional tenure-based days (2 extra days after 1 year of work, and 3 days extra after 2 years of employment).
- Company pension plan.
- Travel reimbursement if you live more than 10kms from our HQ.
- Wellbeing: a collab with ClassPass and free access to unlimited mental health support via our partner OpenUp.
- Continuous free updates of your eyewear collection plus great discounts!
- Daily nutritious lunch and healthy snacks.
- Participation in events planned by our CultureClub (e.g. Borrel XXL, &talks, holiday gifting, ...).
