Position Summary
The Intake Specialist serves as the first point of contact for clients and plays a key role in ensuring a welcoming, efficient, and supportive experience. This position manages client intake, schedules appointments, provides referrals, supports front desk operations, and maintains accurate records while delivering excellent customer service in English and Spanish.
Schedule: Full-time, 4 days per week, in office, 32 hours a week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide empathetic, professional customer service in English and Spanish (in person, phone, text, and email)
- Fill out entrance and universal intake forms, conduct client surveys, and evaluate clients’ needs.
- Schedule appointments and connect clients to internal programs and community resources
- Maintain accurate client records and document all interactions in Salesforce
- Support food distribution efforts, including unloading, setup, distribution, and documentation
- Maintain an organized and welcoming front desk and office space
- Open and close the office daily and support program and administrative needs assigned
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- Experience working with Latino and/or immigrant communities
- High school diploma or equivalent required; AA/BA preferred
- Customer service, intake, or administrative experience preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Salesforce experience a plus
- Compassionate, collaborative, dependable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Work hours alternate each month between 8am–4pm and 10am–6pm, rotating with other intake specialist.
Compensation
This is a full-time, non-exempt position with benefits. We offer a competitive hourly pay of $34/hr with a benefits package that includes:
- 3 weeks paid vacation per year
