About the Role

Description

At Peoples Security Bank & Trust, data isn’t just numbers - it’s how we make smart decisions, protect our customers, and build better banking experiences.

We’re looking for a curious, detail-oriented Banking Data Analyst who enjoys turning complex data into clear, actionable insights and wants to grow their career in a community-focused financial institution.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll serve as a key player to business and technical teams by gathering, analyzing, and coordinating information used across the Bank’s core and reporting systems. You’ll help evaluate current systems, support new initiatives, and ensure data accuracy, efficiency, and reliability across the organization.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing customer behavior, transaction patterns, and financial performance to support product development, risk management, and compliance
  • Building dashboards and reports to track KPIs such as loan performance, customer acquisition, and fraud indicators
  • Partnering with teams across credit risk, retail banking, compliance, and operations to define data needs and deliver insights that drive decisions
  • Supporting segmentation, trend analysis, and predictive modeling to improve customer targeting and retention
  • Assisting with regulatory reporting, audits, and data validation efforts
  • Translating business questions into analytical solutions and communicating findings clearly to stakeholders

Who Will Be Successful in This Role
This role is ideal for someone who:

  • Enjoys working with data and understanding the business behind it
  • Is a self-starter and takes personal initiative to get things done
  • Is naturally curious and asks “why” just as often as “what”
  • Has strong analytical thinking skills and attention to detail
  • Is comfortable and effective at collaborating and communicating with both technical and non-technical partners
  • Takes ownership, follows through, and values accuracy and integrity
  • Thrives in a structured, regulated environment while still looking for opportunities to improve processes
