Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients with professionalism, assist with check-in, and provide excellent service throughout their visit
     
  • Verify and record patient information, medical history, medications, and purpose of visit
     
  • Perform preliminary testing including visual acuity, pupil assessment, refraction, dilation, intraocular pressure, and extraocular movement testing
     
  • Conduct diagnostic procedures such as OCT, visual fields, GDX, IOL Master, auto-refractor, and corneal topography
     
  • Demonstrate knowledge of ocular anatomy, diseases, symptoms, and medications
     
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring exam rooms and equipment are patient-ready
     
  • Support the clinical team with administrative tasks and other duties as assigned


Requirements


  • High school diploma or GED required  
  • Strong computer and data entry skills  
  • One year of medical or ophthalmic office experience preferred  
  • COA or COT certification preferred, but not required for otherwise qualified candidates  
  • Excellent communication skills and a patient-first mindset
