General Responsibilities 

  1. "On Call" case worker is employed on an as needed basis. Must be available as required, and shift hours are not guaranteed.
  2. Coordinate services and meals for participants, including intake and crisis intervention.
  3. Maintain safety and security through bag checks, operation of metal detectors, locker searches, and monitoring.
  4. Respond to emergencies with immediacy using established guidelines.
  5. Provide screening, assessment, crisis intervention, referral, and linkage.
  6. Communicate policies and regulations to participants and ensure compliance.
  7. Register participants and volunteers; maintain statistical records and documents.
  8. Work 6 holiday shifts per calendar year. 
  9. Assist volunteers with meals, hospitality, and program assistance.
  10. Enter accurate documentation into the HMIS system and support client progress.
  11. Other duties as assigned within the guidelines of this position.
  12. Provide outreach and daily support to Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) residents

Requirements

  

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred in human services.
  2. Minimum of one year of experience in social work, crisis intervention, or counseling preferred.
  3. Must be at least 21 years of age.
  4. Ability to work with individuals/families in crisis situations.
  5. Capacity to work with diverse ethnic, racial, and social backgrounds.
  6. Warm, non-judgmental manner in relating to individuals.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  8. Strong verbal and written communication skills; fluency in spoken English.
  9. Passage of background clearance, TB test, and other required testing.
  10. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of liability insurance.
  11. Must work 6 agency paid holidays per calendar year. 
  12. Must work at least 16 hours monthly when hours are available.
