Open for brunch, lunch and dinner, the Grill also boasts a full-service bar, where you can choose from over 90 different choices in tequila, as well as a wide variety of award-winning craft beverages and cocktails. At Broken Tooth Brewing, variety is the name of the game and the brewers do not disappoint: in 2016 alone, they made 73 different craft beers! JOB SUMMARY

As a Prep Cook at the Bear Tooth, you'll be responsible for preparing food items with precision and efficiency according to our unique recipe specifications. You'll work in a dynamic team, ensuring a safe and clean workspace while delivering high-quality products to the kitchen in a timely manner. This position requires Sunday and early morning availability.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and policy procedures
  2. Extensive knowledge of menu items and ingredients
  3. Fulfill orders accurately as dictated by par sheets
  4. Strictly follow recipes and take personal pride in every item delivered for service
  5. Able to safely use and operate kitchen machinery
  6. Handle, store, date, and rotate all products properly
  7. Promptly report equipment and food quality issues to a Manager
  8. Communicate clearly and professionally with all staff in the restaurant
  9. Complete all opening, closing, and side duties
  10. Work as a team with your fellow co-workers and treat each other with kindness and respect

Requirements

Qualifications

Must be 16 years of age or older with a Municipality of Anchorage Food Handlers Card. Kitchen experience is preferred but not required.

Skills, Abilities & Work Conditions

  1. Stand for the duration of the shift with minimal breaks
  2. Work in noisy, fast-paced environments with distracting conditions
  3. Lift and carry 30+ lbs
  4. Work in fluctuating temperature environments
  5. Read recipes and convert units of measure
  6. Have good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
  7. Self-motivation and the ability to accomplish tasks with accuracy and efficiency
  8. Basic knowledge of kitchen terminology, methodology, and knife skills
