Operations Superintendent - Assets

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Operations Superintendent to lead, coordinate load out operations, asset readiness, maintenance scheduling, and facilities management.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring efficient load out execution, safe and compliant operations, optimal equipment utilisation, and effective supervision of personnel. You will play a critical role in supporting project delivery, maintaining operational excellence, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Asset Readiness & Reliability – Ensure all equipment is inspected, certified, maintained, and deployment-ready in accordance with company and client requirements.
- Load Out Planning & Execution – develop and oversee comprehensive mobilisation and demobilisation to meet project timelines and operational requirements.
- Operational Coordination – Act as the central coordination point between Operations, Projects, Logistics, Maintenance, and Facilities teams to support efficient execution.
- Inventory & Back Loading Operations - Manage inventory movement, consumables, and returning equipment to maintain stock accuracy and readiness.
- Cost Management & Continuous Improvement - Monitor and optimise load out operational costs. Identify and resolve operational challenges.
- Maintenance Coordination & Scheduling - Coordinate preventive maintenance activities to support asset availability and reliability
- Staff Supervision & Team Leadership - Provide leadership, coaching, and supervision to operational personnel while promoting a collaborative, safety-first culture.
- Safety & Compliance Management – Ensure all operational activities meet company HSE standards, regulatory requirements, and certification obligations.
- Facilities Management (Gladstone Region) - Oversee daily management of workshops, yards, and offices. Conduct facility inspections/repairs to identify risks and maintenance requirements.
About You
- Proven experience in operations & asset maintenance supervision, logistics coordination, or workshop management.
- Strong understanding of asset management and maintenance scheduling.
- Demonstrated leadership and team supervision experience.
- Sound knowledge of HSE requirements and compliance standards.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong cost awareness and continuous improvement mindset.
