Busy Bees at Geelong West is a modern and vibrant 137-place service located at 151 Church Street, Geelong West VIC 3218 . Our service is dedicated to providing high-quality education and care in a nurturing and inspiring environment.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Educational Leader – 2IC to support our Centre Director and lead our team in delivering excellence in early childhood education.

About the Role

As the Assistant Centre Director – 2IC, you will:

  • Support the Centre Director in the day-to-day management of the service

  • Lead and mentor Educators to deliver high-quality programs aligned with the EYLF

  • Drive continuous improvement in line with the National Quality Standards (NQS)

  • Guide programming, planning, and documentation practices across all rooms

  • Foster strong relationships with children, families, and the broader community

  • Support compliance, staffing coordination, and operational requirements

This is an opportunity to step into a leadership role where you can influence pedagogy, culture, and service quality.

What You’ll Need

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)

  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership or senior educator role

  • Current and valid Working With Children Check (Employee) – VIC

  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification

  • Strong understanding of the EYLF, NQS, and QIP processes

  • Proven ability to mentor, support, and inspire a team

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
