About the Role

Description

Essential Functions

  • Identifies and evaluates patient needs by way of telephone triage. 
  • Administers medication including injections; documents medication given or prescribed by ordering physician as required by specialty.
  • Identifies patient and family education needs and provides instruction.
  • Acquires additional credentials/licenses pertinent to the specialty.
  • Adheres to nursing policy and procedures when documenting information in patient’s medical record.
  • Facilitates the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the physician’s office. Recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriate

Requirements

 LPN Specialist requirements are:

Required Education and Experience: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing. Must possess active Florida license as a Licensed Practical Nurse or

Preferred Education and Experience: Experience or training in a medical health care facility as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Gyn-Oncology experience preferred.


Medical Assistant Specialist Requirements are:

Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of Medical Assistant work experience within the last 2 years. Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment. Current BLS certification or to be completed within first 90 days of employment.
