Job Description

 

What you’ll do:

Supporting both our Management Accountant and the Senior Gas Services Financial Accountant, your role will be interesting and varied with key responsibilities including:

  • Taking the lead on financial systems development and maintenance, ensuring great functionality, data integrity, smooth processes, and robust controls.
  • Keeping Clarus Group’s fixed asset registers in top shape, making sure everything is recorded correctly and is compliant across accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements.
  • Contributing to month-end and financial statement reporting where required, helping to ensure deadlines are met and information is reliable.

Qualifications

What you’ll bring:

As well as being a team player who brings passion, fun and energy to your work you will have:

  • A tertiary accounting qualification
  • Previous experience in a similar accounting/finance role
  • A good understanding of GAAP fixed asset accounting requirements
  • Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity about how systems and processes can work better
  • Confidence working with a range of stakeholders
  • A methodical approach and pride in accuracy
  • Heaps of initiative and a continuous improvement mindset
