Master Planner

Description
The Master Planner is a senior, enterprise-wide role that serves as the central hub of Randys Worldwide's planning organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this individual will consolidate and unify all planning activities across facilities, production teams, and distribution centers — ensuring that internal capabilities are aligned with external market demands and customer commitments.
This is a high-impact, high-visibility role that directly influences customer fulfillment performance, inventory strategy, and capital allocation. The Master Planner will own and drive the company's Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and will serve as a key voice in shaping CAPEX strategy. The ideal candidate is analytically rigorous, an exceptional communicator, and has a demonstrated track record of transforming planning functions in complex, multi-site manufacturing environments.
Enterprise Planning Consolidation
• Consolidate and integrate planning activities across all Randys Worldwide facilities, production teams, and distribution centers into a unified, cohesive planning framework.
• Serve as the single point of accountability for the master production schedule, ensuring alignment between supply, demand, and operational capacity.
• Identify and resolve conflicts between site-level plans and enterprise-level priorities, facilitating cross-functional decisions with speed and clarity.
• Build and maintain planning tools, systems, and dashboards that provide real-time visibility to key stakeholders.
Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
• Own and lead the end-to-end S&OP process for Randys Worldwide, including the facilitation of monthly S&OP cycles across demand review, supply review, pre-S&OP, and executive S&OP meetings.
• Drive cross-functional alignment between Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain through structured, data-driven S&OP disciplines.
• Develop and refine S&OP cadence, templates, KPIs, and governance structures to ensure process maturity and continuous improvement.
• Proactively surface risks, constraints, and trade-offs to executive leadership with clear recommendations and scenario analyses.
Demand Forecasting
• Lead the company's demand forecasting function, developing and maintaining statistical and judgmental forecast models across product lines, channels, and geographies.
• Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing to incorporate market intelligence, promotional activity, new product launches, and customer signals into the forecast.
• Track forecast accuracy metrics and drive continuous improvement in forecast performance through rigorous root-cause analysis and process refinement.
• Translate demand signals into actionable production and procurement plans across all facilities.
Inventory Management
• Develop and implement inventory strategies — including safety stock policies, replenishment logic, and SKU rationalization — that optimize service levels while minimizing working capital.
• Monitor inventory health across all stocking locations, identifying excess, obsolete, or at-risk inventory and driving resolution.
• Partner with Operations and Procurement to optimize material flow, reduce lead times, and improve overall inventory turns.
• Establish and own inventory KPIs and reporting, providing regular updates to senior leadership.
Customer Fulfillment
• Drive measurable improvements in customer fulfillment performance, including on-time delivery, order fill rates, and customer satisfaction metrics.
• Work collaboratively with distribution centers, logistics teams, and customer-facing teams to resolve fulfillment gaps and improve the end-to-end order-to-delivery cycle.
• Develop early-warning systems and escalation processes that identify fulfillment risks before they impact customers.
CAPEX Planning & Capital Strategy
• Provide significant analytical input and strategic perspective into the company's annual and long-range CAPEX planning process.
• Translate capacity constraints, demand outlooks, and operational improvement opportunities into investment proposals with supporting business cases.
• Partner with the COO and CFO to prioritize capital allocation decisions aligned with business growth and operational efficiency goals.
Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement
• Lead, develop, and mentor a team of planners across the enterprise, building capability and fostering a high-performance planning culture.
• Champion LEAN and continuous improvement principles within the planning function, actively participating in the company's broader operational transformation.
• Regularly engage with plant managers, facility leadership, and distribution center teams to ensure planning alignment and strong working relationships.
• Represent planning in cross-functional leadership forums and contribute to the company's broader strategic agenda.
