Security Manager - Vanderbilt Residences

Overview

The Condado Collection is a collection of hospitality properties in Puerto Rico ranging from classic and modern luxury full-service hotels, to fine dining and entertainment.

An exclusive new oceanfront condominium located on the prominent and stylish crossroads of Ashford Avenue and Earle Street. Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for overseeing the safety and security operations of the building.
• Ensures the protection of residents, guests, staff, and property, managing security staff, implementing security policies, and responding to emergencies.
• Schedule and assign security personnel to various locations and shifts.
• Conduct regular training sessions for security staff on safety procedures, emergency response, and customer service.
• Monitor security systems, alarms, and access control systems.
• Respond and investigate all security incidents and emergencies, including medical emergencies, fires, and thefts. Prepare detailed reports for management.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding building security.
• Identify potential security vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) when required.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Hospitality oriented.
• Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, strong leadership skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, good customer service skills and multi-tasking skills.
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CPR, First Aid, Security Management) are advantageous.
• Proficiency in using security equipment and technology.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Capacity to respond quickly to emergencies and physically intervene if necessary
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including day and nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Fully Bilingual (Spanish/English).
