Job Description
We are looking for Multiple Demi Chef Roles across our precinct!
- 1x Part-Time Demi Chef for Novotel/Ibis Sydney Olympic Park
- 1x Part-Time Demi Chef for Pullman at Sydney Olympic Park
Working alongside our talented precinct Executive chef Marvin Ma, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences across our restaurant, events and hotel operations.
As a Demi Chef, you will support the daily operations of the kitchen, contributing to high‑quality food preparation and service across breakfast, lunch, dinner, room service, functions and buffet service. You will be responsible for maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene and presentation standards while ensuring your section runs efficiently and productively.
What you’ll be doing:
- Assist with mise en place, stock rotation and minimising wastage
- Prepare, cook and present high‑quality dishes in line with brand standards
- Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic kitchen environment at all times
- Support and guide junior team members, leading by example
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hotel or high‑volume restaurant environment
- Ability to work under pressure
- Creative culinary mind, up to date on local and international food trends
- Ability to work closely with suppliers to source the best quality product
- Flexibility to work a rotating roaster, including weekends, nights, public holidays and event days
- Sound knowledge of food safety standards
