Overview

$10,000 Sign-On BonusShift: Full Time, 12:00 PM - 12:30 AM

 

Join Our Emergency Department Team. Our nurses are highly trained to care for patients across the lifespan. In the Emergency Department, they expertly perform bedside procedures, utilize critical trauma and medical equipment, and manage continuous bedside monitoring in most patient rooms to ensure accurate, real-time assessment. ED nurses also administer vasoactive medications to support blood pressure and provide sedation for ventilated patients.

With Rock Island serving as a Level II Trauma Center and Bettendorf as a Level IV Trauma Center, you’ll gain hands-on experience with a wide range of trauma acuity and complex cases.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates high-quality nursing care using the nursing process and specialty-specific clinical skills.

  • Assesses patient and family needs and develops individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.

  • Provides age-appropriate, culturally sensitive patient and family education using effective teaching strategies.

  • Utilizes critical thinking to make independent judgments, delegate tasks, and maintain accountability for patient outcomes.

  • Engages in professional development and shares knowledge through networking, research, and collaboration.

  • Maintains current licenses/certifications and adheres to HIPAA, JCAHO, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.

  • Ensures patient and workplace safety by preventing errors, accidents, and infections, and promptly reporting concerns.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Diploma from an RN program.

License(s)/Certification(s):

  • Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in primary state.
    • Must apply within 90 days for licensure in secondary state.
  • Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Must possess and maintain ACLS
